Calvin Boyce
Person Responsible for Maintenance

Calvin Boyce brings over 15 years of aircraft maintenance experience and more than a decade of leadership. He has held senior coordination, supervisory, and certification roles with aviation organizations across Canada and internationally, supporting fleet reliability, compliance, and on-time operations. His experience covers most all general aviation aircraft - Cessna, Piper, Diamond and Beech, all the way up to Dash 8, ATR, Embraer, and CRJ. Calvin is known for precision and sound technical judgment.

At Bayside Aero, Calvin is an owner and the PRM, overseeing maintenance standards, quality control, and operational performance. His Transport Canada M1/M2 licence and hands-on leadership help ensure every aircraft meets high safety and airworthiness standards.

Calvin is recognized for his organized approach, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right the first time, bringing a steady, reliable presence to every aspect of the business.
Bill Kalistchuk
Lead Avionics Technician

Bill brings over 40 years of aerospace experience to Bayside Aero following a distinguished career with de Havilland Canada and Bombardier. He worked on major Canadian aircraft programs including the Dash 7, Dash 8, CRJ, and Global Express / Global 5000–8000, providing technical expertise and manufacturing insight.

As a Lead Avionics Technician and crew leader, Bill oversaw teams of 20+ and specialized in installation, testing, troubleshooting, and certification of advanced aircraft systems. His expertise spans communications, navigation, air data, electrical systems, structural integration, and avionics software, with a strong reputation for solving complex technical issues with precision and safety.

Bill also has extensive experience in pre-flight and test flight operations, supporting aircraft readiness, pilot acceptance, and new program development, including the Global 8000. His knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence make him a key part of the Team.
Dave Kalistchuk
President

Dave Kalistchuk is President and an owner of Bayside Aero, bringing decades of aviation leadership across flight training, commercial operations, and aircraft management. With over 4,000 flight hours and nearly 30 years of teaching experience, he is known for professionalism, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to aviation.

Dave holds a Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument, Multi-Engine, and Float Ratings, and has served as Chief Flight Instructor, Chief Pilot, Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Transport Canada Authorized Person and Pilot Examiner. His broad background provides deep insight into aircraft operations, maintenance planning, compliance, and customer service.

He also serves as Bayside Aero’s pilot for test and ferry flights and brings experience as a Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) in a flight school setting. His hands-on approach and industry knowledge help uphold the company’s high standards.
